The Marksmanship Club at Seattle University is one of the oldest clubs on campus. It is one of the few clubs to be both an SGSU and a Sport Club. Founded in 1982 by Dr. Tadie, the club has an immaculate safety record, while providing a great atmosphere for students to learn and improve their skills with various types of rifles, pistols, and shotguns.
The club participates in events and sports such as target shooting, Shoot on the Move, trap, skeet. We provide training programs for students who want them and a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. We encourage both veteran and those who have never held a firearm before to join us at the range.
Safety lessons precede any member or guest participation in the sport, regardless of experience, and are provided by certified instructors. We emphasize teaching and learning to shoot accurately under safe conditions.
